WCCOG assists Washington County communities seeking state, federal and other support for local planning and development.

Community Development Block Grants

In FY2010 Maine's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, administered by the Office of Community Development, will make grants worth $12 million to Maine community. Specific grant programs are available to eligible community to assist with:

• development of public facilities & infrastructure
• downtown revitalization
• economic development
• community enterprise
• housing assistance
• public services
• non-profit development, and
• community planning

WCCOG is a source of information and grant preparation assistance for the Community Development Block Grant program. We can also help your community identify sources of matching funds. CDBG Deadlines for the FY2010 Program Year*
*The CDBG Program Statement for FY2011, with deadlines for applications, will be released sometime this summer.

*If the first Friday of the month falls on a holiday or state shutdown day, the DF application will be due by 4:00pm on the next business day.
