Sustainable Tourism Initiatives
WCCOG is working at multiple levels through the Vacationland Resources Committee, Downeast & Acadia Regional Tourism, work on scenic byways and the Downeast Sunrise Trail to promote sustainable tourism efforts in Washington County.

This work covers planning efforts within the county and coordinating with adjoining counties and state level efforts. We also sponsor workshops and work with partners on resources and thematic trail initiatives to assist in forging the connection between businesses and visitors.
