 County Emergency Management

In 2008, WCCOG worked with the Washington County Emergency Management Agency to revise and update Washington County's Emergency Management Plan. The Emergency Management Plan identifies the hazards most likely to result in an emergency in Washington County. In line with NIMS standards, the Plan outlines the County response plan for 8 primary functions:

  • Direction and Control

  • Alert & Warning

  • Evacuation Mass Care

  • Communications

  • Public Information

  • Health and Medical

  • Resource Management
