2016 Grants for Wetlands Restoration

The State of Maine Department of Environmental Protection is inviting proposals for wetlands restoration projects. Grants for projects selected under this RFP will be funded with monies provided to the Department by Public Law 2013, Chapter 589, An Act to Authorize a General Fund Bond Issue to Ensure Clean Water and Safe Communities which was approved by voters in the general election of November, 2014.

Beginning April 18, 2016, eligible recipients may apply for grant monies for wetland projects. Applicants must describe how the proposed project meets the following criteria:

The Department’s RFP Coordinator for this project is Bill Longfellow. The RFP Coordinator can be reached at the following email address: william.longfellow@maine.gov, or at the following mailing address: State House Station #17, 28 Tyson Drive, Augusta, ME 04333. The Department encourages all interested eligible applicants to obtain a copy of the RFP and submit a competitive proposal

Proposals must be submitted to the State of Maine Division of Purchases, located at the Burton M. Cross Office Building, 111 Sewall Street, 4th Floor, 9 State House Station, Augusta, Maine, 04333-0009. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 pm, local time, on June 3, 2016, when they will be opened at the Division of Purchases’ aforementioned address. Proposals not received at the Division of Purchases’ aforementioned address by the aforementioned deadline will not be considered for grant award.
