Harbor Management Planning

Coastal communities in Maine are increasingly confronted with issues around coastal access, balancing recreational and working waterfront uses at public piers, boat launches and harbors, securing access to tidal waters and intertidal resources for commercial harvesters, funding dredging and other pier and harbor maintenance activity, et cetera. 

A Harbor Management Plan helps communities  think through these complex issues, prioritize public investment in harbor infrastructure and develop public policy solutions to effectively manage coastal resources.
